Question 1

Who operates PressWerk?

Accepted Answer

PressWerk is operated by PressWerk Tech LLC. Customer service: customerservice@presswerk.tech.

Question 2

Does PressWerk use AI?

Accepted Answer

File repair does not use artificial intelligence. PressWerk repairs files with licensed prepress software and deterministic rules, so the same file and the same settings produce the same result. Nothing about your artwork is guessed or generated. An optional assistant on the configure step can use Google Gemini 2.5 Flash to suggest product, stock, and finishing from a description you choose to type. Your artwork is not sent to that model, and you can order without using the assistant.

Question 3

What does PressWerk actually do to my file?

Accepted Answer

It runs the same professional preflight checks a commercial printer would: bleed and trim geometry, colour space conversion for the press, embedding missing fonts, and image resolution at the size you are printing. It then shows you exactly what changed before anything is printed.

Question 4

Does PressWerk print my job?

Accepted Answer

No. PressWerk owns no presses and does no printing or shipping. Your repaired file is routed to an independent commercial print shop within 25 miles, and you collect it there or take local delivery from that shop.

Question 5

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

You pay $7 per file to route your job and match a local shop. Professional file repair is included for free during launch. When tiered preflight billing goes live, press-ready files will be $10 and repaired files $20. Print is paid directly to the shop; PressWerk takes no commission on print revenue.

Question 6

Will PressWerk design artwork for me?

Accepted Answer

No. PressWerk repairs files you already have. It does not create or design artwork from scratch.
