I have worked as a graphic designer for more than ten years, across commercial print, packaging, signage, and the jobs that land on a shop floor from every direction: billion-dollar brands, Canva exports, Upwork and Fiverr artwork, and DIY files someone stayed up until midnight to finish. The problem is the same everywhere: artwork arrives not quite ready to print, and someone has to fix it before ink hits paper.

That repair step is not a modern invention. Prepress has existed for decades. What changed is how much of the work now arrives through online channels, with no one on the other end who speaks the language of bleed, color profiles, or resolution.
